Creating tabs for activity types

You can create a History tab for specified activity types and display it according to your tab preferences.

To create a tab for an activity type

1.  From Customers, select Set up module > Activity types to open the Activity types window.

2.  Select the activity type from the Product Types scrolling list.

3.  Enable the Create History Tab option. The Tab Name field displays to the right of the Create History Tab option after the Create History Tab option is enabled.

4.  Enter the tab name in the Tab Name field.

5.  (optional) Enable the Allow user Edit option if you want to allow iMIS users, with a Customers authorization level of three (3) or higher, to edit the data on the Manage customers window.

6.  Click Save to update the activity type.

7.  Restart iMIS.

To display an activity tab

1.  On the Manage customers window, place the cursor over the detail or history tabs, right-click, and select Edit Tab Preferences.

The Customer Portfolio Tab Preferences window opens.

2.  Select the History tab.

3.  Move the new activity tab to the Visible History Tabs list.

Note: The tab is initially placed at the end of the Visible History Tabs list. You can move the tab to the desired position by selecting the tab and clicking the Top, Up, Down, or Bottom buttons.

4.  Click Save to update the tab preferences profile.

5.  Restart iMIS.
